ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University Women's Soccer team were blanked by a score of 3-0 in a non-conference match-up against Rutgers-Camden on Wednesday afternoon.
The Scarlet Raptors opened the scoring in the 10
th minute as they broke into the 18-yard box. Six minutes later, they doubled their lead on a sharp angle shot that caromed off the post. That edge lasted until the second half when, in the 49th minute, a long free kick by Rutgers-Camden turned into a breakaway and a goal to put the game out of reach.
Julianna Hatt led the Knights offensive effort with two shots, both on goal.
Ebony Arvelo added an attempt on goal as well.
Shannon Duffy did all she could to keep the Knights in the game with seven saves.
Neumann (2-4) will return to the field on Friday evening when they host Penn State Altoona for a 6:00 PM start
