HADDONFIELD, N.J. – The Atlantic East Conference announced their postseason awards for Women's Basketball on Wednesday afternoon.
Emily DuPont was named to the All-Conference First team while
Jess Aponik was selected for the All-Conference Second team.
DuPont was the Atlantic East's fifth leading scorer, averaging 15.7 points per game. Her 7.4 rebounds per game landed her eighth in the conference. On the defensive end, she was second in the conference with 43 blocked shots, and her 52 steals was fifth. The fifth year picks up her third All-Conference award and her second First team recognition. This season, she was named the Defensive Player of the Week twice and was named to the weekly Honor Roll six times.
Aponik was named to the Atlantic East weekly Honor Roll back on February 16
th. She averaged 10.7 points per game and was third in the conference with 37 blocked shots. She also averaged 5.2 rebounds per game with 50 assists and 34 steals. The sophomore led the Knights with a free throw percentage of 81.8%.
Neumann finished the season with an overall record of 9-17 and was 7-7 in conference play, advancing to the Atlantic East postseason tournament.
