LANCASTER, Pa. – The Atlantic East Conference announce their weekly awards on Monday and three Neumann University Basketball players garnered awards. Men's Basketball's
Bryan Etienne was named the Player of the Week while
Donte Dupriest picked up a spot on the weekly Honor Roll.
Emily DuPont was named to the Women's Basketball weekly Honor Roll.
Etienne scored 21 points in a 92-81 win at Marywood. The junior went 7-for-8 from the line and added five rebounds, four blocks and three assists. This is his second weekly award of the season.
Dupriest scored 30 points and added 21 rebounds in a 92-81 win at Marywood in Neumann's lone game of the week. In 38 minutes, the junior grabbed nine offensive rebounds and 12 defensive and went shot 10-for-11 from the line. This is his fifth Atlantic East weekly award of the season.
DuPont averaged 16.5 points per game in a 2-0 overall week, 1-0 in the Atlantic East. In a 62-60 win over Penn State Abington, the senior netted 18 points and grabbed eight rebounds. With the game tied at 60, DuPont hit the game-winner at the buzzer. The senior followed with a 15 points performance in a 49-46 win at Marywood. She also had five blocks, four steals, and four rebounds. Again, with the teams tied late, a layup by DuPont with 21 seconds left put the Knights in the lead. She sealed the win with a free throw in the final 10 seconds. This is DuPont's ninth weekly Honor Roll selection of the season.
Both teams will be back in action on Wednesday night against Immaculata. The women's team will take to the road while the men's team will host the Mighty Macs. Both games start at 6:00 PM.
