LANCASTER, Pa. – The Atlantic East Conference announced their weekly awards on Monday afternoon and three Neumann University athletes were among the honorees. Men's basketball's
Gary Francis, along with women's basketball's
Emily DuPont and
Lauren Klieber, were all named to the weekly Honor Roll.
Francis averaged 14.7 points and 5.0 rebounds in a 1-2 week for the Knights. In Tuesday's 84-70 win at Valley Forge, the senior netted 22 points and seven rebounds. He followed with 14 points in an 87-73 loss to Widener. To wrap up the week, Francis netted eight points in a 72-71 buzzer-beater loss to Manhattanville.
DuPont had 17.7 points and 10.0 rebounds in a 2-1 week for Neumann. In a 72-68 overtime win against Albright, DuPont notched a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds. Against Haverford, the senior had 18 points and eight boards in a 59-51 win. DuPont finished the week with 21 points and nine rebounds in a 73-69 loss to Penn State Abington. This is her second weekly Honor Roll recognition of the season.
Klieber averaged 22.7 points and 7.7 rebounds per game this past week. In the overtime win at Albright, the senior netted 18 points and nine rebounds. She followed with 24 points and five rebounds in the win over Haverford. To wrap up the week, Klieber tallied 26 points and nine boards in the loss to Penn State Abington. This is her third straight week being named to the weekly Honor Roll.
