CHESTER, Pa. - The Neumann University Outdoor Track & Field team competed at the Widener Final Qualifier in Chester on Monday.
 
Kyleigh Joniec was the highest finisher of the day, earning ninth place in the 400-meter hurdles, in a personal best 1:14.15. She also competed in the Javelin Throw and her best throw of the day was 25.98 meters. Sydney Wilson also competed in the Javelin with a 21.49-meter performance. Wilson put together a personal best in the Discus with a toss of 20.01 meters. Allison Siravo also had a personal best with a throw of 21.76 meters. In the Shot Put, Siravo threw an 8.96 while Wilson had a 7.34.
 
Also in the track events, Djeneba Konake had a personal-best performance in the 100-meter race, finishing in 14.43 seconds, She also ran the 200-meter in 30.67 seconds. Courtney Humphreys ran the 400-meter for the first time all spring, finishing in a time of 1:00.50.
 
On the Men's side, Matt Ricciardi and Christian Johnson both competed in the 100-meter and 200-meter races. Ricciardi ran the 100 in 12.06 seconds and the 200 in 24.04, his best of the season. Johnson ran the 100 in 13.16 seconds and the 200 in 27.40 seconds. Jaron McNeil worked the 400-meter race in 1:01.22 and rounding out the event, Drew Konieczny ran the 800-meter in 1:55.95.
 
With this meet, the Neumann University Outdoor Track & Field season comes to a close. With a number of personal bests broken, and accolades achieved, the Knights look forward to a bright future in 2023-2024.
