5/26/2022 3:25:00 PM

LANCASTER, Pa. – Three members of the Neumann University women's lacrosse team were named to the Atlantic East Conference second-team for the 2022 season.

Brylin Adams and Lindsey Fagan earned second-team honors as attackers for the second consecutive season after receiving the same honor last season. Jayana Murray was also named to the second-team as a midfielder.

Adams led the team in points this season with 72, finishing with 52 goals and 19 assists which were both good for second on the team. Her 52 goals this season put her over the 100-goal plateau for her career. The attacker also finished second on the team with 56 draw controls, while also scooping up 21 ground balls and causing seven turnovers. The senior was excellent down the stretch for the Knights, scoring eight times in back-to-back games in a regular season win over Immaculata and a first-round playoff win versus Gwynedd Mercy. Her excellent play over the course of the season earned her Atlantic East Conference weekly honors three times during the season.

Fagan was an offensive weapon for the Knights all season long, leading the team in goals with 62 and finishing second on the squad in points with 69, despite missing a pair of games due to injury. In addition to her attacking prowess, the sophomore standout also excelled on draw controls, pacing the team with 57 on the season. Fagan also picked up 20 ground balls and caused 11 turnovers. She saved her best play of the season for when it mattered most near the end of the season. Fagan scored nine times in a 13-12 overtime win over Marywood, then followed that up with an eight-point (6 g, 2 a) performance in a 22-9 victory over Immaculata to help Neumann clinch the third seed in the conference playoffs. For her stellar play this season, Fagan was named the Atlantic East Conference Offensive Player of the Week twice during the season.

Murray was excellent on both ends of the field for Neumann this year as a midfielder. The sophomore tallied 14 goals for the Knights, while also leading the team in ground balls (41) and placing second on the team in caused turnovers (20). The midfielder also ranked fourth on the team on draw controls with 34. Murray scored two or more goals four times for the Knights during the season, including the team's Atlantic East Conference semifinal matchup at Marymount. She also picked up four ground balls and caused a turnover in the game.

Neumann finished the season with a record of 9-8, falling in the conference semifinals at Marymount by a score of 14-9. The Knights took a lead into the fourth quarter in that game but could not close out the contest. Neumann will hope to learn from the experience and go even further in the playoffs next season.
