ROCHESTER, N.Y. –
Brady Mistler, of the Neumann University Men's Ice Hockey team, has been named this week's United Collegiate Hockey Conference Player of the Week.
Mistler picked up two goals, including the overtime game-winner, in a 5-4 come-from-behind victory over Assumption on Sunday. In addition to leading the team in shots with five, Brady showed off his 200-foot game with two blocked shots. After falling behind 2-0, the Lake Stevens, Wash. native picked up his first goal of the game just seconds after a Greyhounds power play expired. After the Knights rallied from a 4-1 deficit to force overtime, Mistler stole the puck just outside the blue line and won the game on a breakaway, 54 seconds into the extra session, completing the dramatic win.
The 3-6 Knights will return to conference action on Friday, in Hershey, against Lebanon Valley College before returning home to close out the home-and-home series, and the semester, against the Flying Dutchmen on Saturday at 4:00 PM.
