ASTON, Pa. – The Neumann University softball's 2014 season came to an end with a 6-2 loss to Arcadia University on Wednesday afternoon in an ECAC South first round game.

Becca Reinhart reached base all three times at the plate with two hits and a walk. She also added an RBI. Lauren Wilkie started the game and went 2.0 innings. She allowed six runs, five earned, on nine hits. Haley Broomell went 2.0 hitless innings. Kristin Beaty wrapped up the game with 3.0 innings and allowed just one hit.

Arcadia came out strong early and scored three runs in the first and second innings. Neumann got one run back in the bottom of the first as Danielle Grayson knocked in Reinhart.

Neumann put another run on the board in the fifth inning as Reinhart knocked in Melissa Rozumalski. However, the Knights could not got key hits strung together to overcome the early deficit.

Neumann finishes its season 24-12.
