ASTON, Pa. – With the 2013 season in the rear view mirror, eight current members of the Neumann University baseball team will look to hone their skills in collegiate summer leagues around the country as they drive to continue to develop!
Neumann players are present in five different collegiate summer leagues in the country, including the Lake Michigan Summer Collegiate League, Ohio Valley League, Southern Collegiate League, Myrtle Beach Summer Collegiate League and the Atlantic Baseball Confederation Collegiate League (ABCCL).
Leading the way is Buddy Elgin who will be playing in the Southern Collegiate League for the Carolina Chaos. The Knights who will call home the furthest from Neumann for the summer are Kristian Deluzio and Kye Williams as they will play in the Southern Florida Collegiate League for the Palm Beach Blazers. Matt Sheneman will head to the Ohio Valley League and play for the Tradewater Pirates and Dylan Burnett will enjoy the sun and beaches in Myrtle Beach S.C. for the Palmetto Generals in the Myrtle Beach Summer Collegiate League. Adrian LaRowe will stay close to home and play in the ABCCL for the Middlesex Rays. The last two Knights, Jalen Burks and Richard Llagas, have gone north to the Lake Michigan Baseball League to play for the Thunder Cats.
Collegiate Summer League's not only give the Knights a chance to play at a high level but to bring their experiences back to the players who are not able to go away.
