Four Knights Named to ECAC South All-Stars

CENTERVILLE, Mass. – Four members of the Neumann University softball team were named ECAC South All-Stars, announced on Friday. Becca Reinhart (second base), Callie Emel (third base), Mariah Ripken (designated player) and Allie White (outfield) all garnered first team honors.

Reinhart led the team in batting this season, with an average of .487. She set the career record in triples and finished the season with a team leading 10. The sophomore had 71 hits, 42 runs scored and 41 RBI.

Emel hit .406 with 58 hits in 45 games. She had 10 doubles, two triples and five homeruns. The senior knocked in 41 runs while scoring 32.

Ripken started every game during the 46 game season. She had 48 hits and batted .378 with seven doubles, four triples and one homerun. The senior scored 34 runs while knocking in 32.

White batted .473 this season and had 71 hits, scored 65 runs and knocked in 45. She led the team with 12 doubles and eight homeruns.

Neumann was crowned the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Champions and advanced to the NCAA Regional Tournament. The Knights finished the season 30-16.
