ASTON, Pa. – Russ Gilliam, of the Neumann University baseball team, was named to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings second team for the 2012 season.

Gilliam went 11-1 with one save this season with an ERA of 1.12. In 88.1 innings pitched, the junior struck out 108 batters. He also became the program leader in career wins He has 26 after three seasons.

This is one award to add to the list for Gilliam this season. The junior was named to the d3baseball.com All-America Honorable Mention and All-Mid-Atlantic-Region team along with the ABCA Mid-Atlantic All-Region first team. He was also named to the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) first team.

Neumann received its first NCAA bid in the program's history in 2012. Gilliam picked up the win against Daniel Webster, 11-4. He went 8.0 innings and struck out nine.

The Knights went 2-2 at the Mid-Atlantic Regional and finished the season with a program record 32 wins.
